The Women’s Giving Circle (WGC) is a group of community-minded women who believe in collective giving to strengthen their community. All women are welcome! The more women involved, the greater the impact in the community.
More Women = More Grants = Greater Impact
Gifts can be made to the WCG any time throughout the year. 50% of your gift goes into the Women’s Giving Circle Fund for grantmaking decided by the women at the annual event. The other 50% is permanently endowed in the Unrestricted Community Endowment Fund to support a broad range of community needs, projects and programs forever, through the Foundation’s annual grantmaking cycles.
The WGC Collective Grantmaking Event is an opportunity to come together as women, learn about community needs, and award grants to local nonprofits addressing those needs. Attendees view video grant requests from nonprofits and vote to determine grant recipients. The number of $2,000 grants awarded is directly dependent upon the generosity of the women in the group - the more money collectively given, the more grants will be awarded.
