The Crown Point Community Foundation will be celebrating three decades of making a difference in the communities of Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Lowell and Winfield with its 30th Anniversary Celebration Event at Bulldog Park in Crown Point. This free, family friendly community-oriented event will be held on Sunday, September19, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The event, which had to be rescheduled from last year due to the coronavirus, will feature special guests, fun activities, and music by local favorite The Crawpuppies! We’ll have CPCF swag, a video presentation, and attendees can enter to win a chance to award a $5,000 grant to a local charity of their choice!* Six entries will be drawn at random.
The Crown Point Community Foundation (CPCF) is a nonprofit philanthropic foundation that awards grants from its endowed funds. The funds are awarded to nonprofits throughout South Lake County in grant cycles throughout the year. As part of its 30th anniversary celebration, the CPCF awarded over $90,000 in additional grants last year to public safety agencies in the communities of Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Lowell and Winfield.
